Saloni Caterers – A 20-year legacy of home style Marathi cooking with love , well known for preparing unique Maharashtrian food of high quality and taste.
The story of Saloni Caterers begins with its founder Deepa (Manali) Athalye, who had a vision for this business more than 20 years ago, born out of her passion and deep interest in cooking, and also serving her community. She started making these special dishes for her family and friends. Items like Puran poli, gulachi Poli, chivda, chaklya, mugache ladoo made by her grew in popularity and demand. At this point she decided to start a small business to serve people in the neighborhood and the community.
Today, Saloni Caterers serves daily meals to seniors and needy members within the community, often at discounted prices and even sometimes free of charge. For her efforts, Deepa was awarded the ‘Kartbgar Mahila’ award in 2023 in Dombivali local government.
