About Us

Omkar Foods was started with a passion to bring food products from various regions of Maharashtra, India to Washington DC Metro area of United States. Maharashtra has a lot of food varieties including mouth watering chaats (Bhel, Wada pav, Misal pav ..), healthy breakfast (Thalipeeth, Ghavan, Pohe, Sabudana khichadi..) ,sweet delicacies (Modak, Sheera, Chikki…), variety of curries (Alu patal bhaji, Ambadi bhaji, Malvani curry..), dry snacks (Chiwda, Bhadang, Chakli ..) and other specialities (Masale bhaath, Watli dal, Metkut, Mirgund and Kurdai…).

Our attempt is to make these products available to this part of the world. We also bring seasonal and festival delicacies like Tilgul and Gul poli for Sankrant and Diwali Faral.
